Good Presence, Inc. d/b/a Wipe (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for its users. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard the information you provide when using our Service.

For purposes of this Policy, “Site” refers to goodpresence.io. “Service” refers to the Wipe digital footprint scanning service accessible via the Site. “You” refers to you as a user of our Site or Service.

By accessing our Site or Service, you accept this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, and you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described below.

Section I

Information We Collect

1. Information You Provide

When you use the Service, you provide us with the following information:

  • Email address — used to send scan results, access links, and service notifications
  • Name of the individual being scanned — used to perform the digital footprint scan
  • Optional scan inputs — including phone number, past addresses, social media handles, and employer name, which you may provide to improve scan accuracy
  • Payment information — collected and processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details. We retain only transaction records (purchase date, amount, and Stripe transaction ID) for accounting and refund purposes.

2. Information Generated by the Service

When a scan is performed, we generate and store the following:

  • Scan results, including websites, social media profiles, data broker listings, public records, and news mentions associated with the scanned individual
  • Reputation score and risk analysis generated from scan results
  • Records of removal and noindex requests sent on your behalf
  • Rescan results and verification reports

3. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain non-personal information through standard web technologies, including:

  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Referring URL (the page that directed you to our Site)
  • Pages visited and time spent on the Site
  • Date and time of access
  • IP address (used for security purposes and geographic analytics only)

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect this information. We use session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain until deleted). Cookies help us maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyze how the Site is used. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may affect Site functionality.

We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertising or track you across other websites.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Perform digital footprint scans as requested
  • Generate and deliver scan reports and reputation analyses
  • Send removal, noindex, and CCPA deletion requests to third-party websites on your behalf
  • Provide you with access to your scan results during the 30-day access period
  • Send transactional email notifications, including scan completion notices, removal request status updates, and verification rescan reports
  • Process payments and issue refunds
  • Respond to support requests
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use of the Service
  • Improve the accuracy, performance, and features of the Service

We do not use your information for:

  • Selling, renting, or trading your personal data to third parties
  • Serving third-party advertising
  • Sharing your scan results with anyone other than you
  • Any purpose materially inconsistent with this Policy without your consent

Section III

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances.

Service Providers

We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including Stripe (payment processing) and our cloud infrastructure provider (database hosting). These vendors access your information only as necessary to perform their services and are contractually required to protect it.

Removal Requests

When you initiate a removal or noindex request, we send a communication to the relevant third-party website on your behalf from removals@goodpresence.io. This communication necessarily discloses your name and the nature of your request to that website. You control the level of identifying information included (standard, private, or anonymous) when initiating the request.

Legal Compliance

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or valid governmental request, or if we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business Transfers

If Good Presence, Inc. undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email if such a transfer occurs and your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

Section IV

Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the Service and meet our legal obligations:

  • Scan results and findings are automatically deleted 30 days after purchase
  • Removal request records are retained for 90 days to track verification status, then deleted
  • Purchase records (transaction ID, purchase date, amount, email) are retained for accounting and legal compliance purposes for a period of 7 years
  • Automatically collected usage data is retained in aggregated, anonymized form for service improvement purposes

You may request deletion of your data before the 30-day expiration by emailing support@goodpresence.io. Purchase records required for legal and accounting compliance cannot be deleted on request.

Section V

Data Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate technical and administrative security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted database connections (TLS/SSL)
  • Secure payment processing via Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant)
  • Access-token-gated scan results (your results are not accessible via public URLs)
  • Restricted internal access to personal data

No security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our security measures. By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of transmitting information over the internet.

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Section VI

Children’s Privacy

The Site and Service are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor without verified parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us at legal@goodpresence.io.

Section VII

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

All users

  • Access your scan data during the 30-day access window
  • Request deletion of your scan data before the 30-day expiration
  • Export your scan results
  • Opt out of marketing email communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or emailing support@goodpresence.io

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

  • Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
  • Request deletion of your personal information (subject to retention requirements described above)
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut residents

You have similar rights under your respective state privacy laws.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@goodpresence.io. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days. We may extend this period by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary and will notify you of any extension.

Section VIII

Links to Other Websites

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. This Policy applies solely to information collected by Good Presence, Inc. through the Site and Service. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

Section IX

Marketing Communications

We may send you marketing emails about new features, promotions, or related services if you have opted in or if permitted by applicable law. You may opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or emailing support@goodpresence.io. You will continue to receive transactional emails (scan results, removal status, account notices) regardless of marketing preferences.

Section X

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of material changes by sending an email to the address associated with your account or by posting a prominent notice on the Site. Material changes take effect 30 days after notification. Non-material clarifications take effect immediately. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
